For 2019’s final showcase iteration, Side Gallery presents a satellite group exhibition, CONVERGE. The exhibition explores the relationships between street art and conventional fine art, which has developed to include digital drawing, sculpture, mark-making, illustration, and painting. Representing the vibrant and diverse creative community of Brisbane, the works selected for CONVERGE are by a selection of multidisciplinary artists, and include some of Stella's painting and sculpture.
The two venues, Side Gallery in Red Hill and the newly renovated space in James Street, present polarising versions of the current artistic climate reflecting a cross-section between industry and a formal white wall gallery.
